The charge on your dashboard showing $0.00

There's a charge on your Vendor Central dashboard right now showing $0.00. In October it stops being $0.00.

Since July, down-confirm charges have been appearing on Direct Import and Domestic Long Lead POs at zero cost, for visibility only. From October they become chargeable at 3% of cost of goods.

This is a pattern worth recognising. Amazon introduces a charge at $0, lets it sit on the dashboard for a while, then switches it on. The $0 period is not a grace period. It's a pre-announcement, and it's the only free warning you get to fix the process before it costs you anything.

Two things to do before October.

First, look at whether these are appearing on your account at all. If they are, the volume at $0 today is the volume you'll be paying 3% of cost of goods on in six weeks.

Second, know that the rule is stricter for these PO types than for normal ones. On a standard PO the defect is down-confirming more than five business days after the ship window starts. On Direct Import and Domestic Long Lead it's down-confirming after the ship window ends. If your team applies the standard rule to these POs, you'll trip it.

Load safety is in the same $0 window now, which means the same thing is coming for unstable pallets.
